{ Thoughts and experiences shared by our patients }

I am writing this letter to inform you of the great care I received at North Country Hospital. On the night of Friday, April 14th, my daughter took me to the ER. Nurse Jon Hendrickson took all my information and vitals. I was then cared for by Dr. Otero, who quickly determined I had a heart attack. He contacted Dartmouth and placed a pacemaker in me among many other things to prep me for a transfer. Much of my visit is a blur, but I remember how well I was cared for by these two men. I firmly believe they saved me. Jon rode on the ambulance with me also. After 12 days in the ICU and four stents I returned home. I would also like to give my thanks to Schay, Robin, and Kim in your Cardio Rehab Department. They have been a huge part of my recovery. Also, Julie Giroux, my care coordinator with assisting my diabetes and Jamie and Ashleigh for all the dietary help. You have a great team that should be recognized.

I was very scared and in a lot of pain when I arrived by ambulance. I had a serious procedure days before and the ER staff was very calm and attentive. They got me feeling better very quickly

I don’t know what you all did, but yesterday in the ED, you had the BEST STAFF and BEST Doctor!
